Why Get Keys Copied by a Locksmith

Can you copy a key marked Do Not Duplicate?
That stamp is a request, not always a legal block, but restricted key systems can only be copied by an authorized dealer. If the lock is in a rental or business, check with the owner first. We will tell you what applies to your key.
My key is badly worn. Can you still copy it?
Often, yes. We may be able to decode the original cuts and make a copy that works better than your worn key.
Can you copy car keys too?
Many basic and chip car keys can be copied. Remotes and smart keys usually need programming. Give us the year, make and model for a quote.
Do you have to come to me to copy a key?
We are a mobile locksmith, so yes, we cut keys at your home or business. That also lets us test the copy in the real lock.
Is it cheaper to copy a key than to replace a lost one?
Yes. Copying a key you have is quicker and cheaper than making one from scratch, which is why a spare is worth having.
